Glad you guys like the solos, but I'm really not into soloing anymore. If you listen to the riffs on the old records you'll notice that
they're not as complex as the riffs in the new songs. Instead of soloing I just write complex riffs to make up for it. You gotta think about
the people who don't play guitar when you write songs. Not everybody wants to sit through a shredfest after every second chorus.
We had a scream in the day i understood. Screaming is too much of an intentional trend now though. I'm not down with that. If that's
the kind of band that you're in, then it's cool. But to just put it there because that's what's cool now would be gay.

I enjoy the solo in "clear me" But I think the complex riffs are a good move
As for screaming ... yeah it is a trend now.. The used, finch , thursday ....
Maybe The Livid will set a new trend ... hehe ..
serious lyrics with complex alt/pop rock
Gotta be a winner

i think it's great as it is.
the odd solo is cool, but, as a guitarist, i really appreciate the complex stuff. solos are bonuses, but when i want to learn a song i can seldom be
bothered to learn a solo. but i love learning complex riffs.

An occasional solo would be nice. Who says you can't have both ..don't have to shred or anything but maybe something nice an melodic.

fenrisx is on to something. Once every few shows, a solo would be a great bonus.

Yeah but we're going to just do bass soloing ffrom now on. Really bring back the primus of it all. Actually I'm kidding but seriously
though I love the guitar solo stuff Chris throws out. It's intricate yet melodic, properly placed, and not contrived all at the same time.
Techy riffs are actually way more challenging and fun as hell to pull off live every friggin. This band blows me away, I can't beleive the level
of professionalismm dealing with. But Chris should have, like one awesome solofest at our next show. (so I can go get another drink.)
