Cottages
Hey guys,
So....on the 14th of August we're heading up to a cottage we rented.
I've never been to a cottage though...ever.
We're there for a week.
I was listening to the radio today and heard all these stories about how most of the time you're there is spent cleaning and unpacking, and by
the time you're done you barely have any time to enjoy yourself...and it's time to go back.
Myth or truth?
What are some pointers from you cottage-goers? I'm a complete cottage virgin folks! haha.
And...to keep this interesting, what have been some of your best and worst moments when at a cottage?

I guess it all depends on how long you are staying for. Last summer my mom and her friend rented a cottage and I brought alot of friends up with me,
which seemed like a great idea at the time, but when the trip was over the owners of the cottage were really pissed and won't let us rent their
cottage ever again....oopsy. I broke a lamp (totally accidently I swear lol. I had a night terror and threw it at my friend cause I thought she was
the evil mexican man in my dream). We broke 3 boogie boards, most of the kids toys, we set some stuff on fire because we got bored, not to mention we
were setting off fireworks and blew up their neighbour's barbeque when one backfired....they also found endless amounts of beer bottles under
the deck. I was parched....for the whole week...
The night's as hot as hell. It's a lousy room in a lousy part of a lousy town - I'm staring at a goddess. She's telling me she
wants me. I'm not going to waste one more minute wondering how I've gotten this lucky. She smells like angels ought to smell, the perfect
woman... the Goddess. Goldie. She says her name is Goldie.

A cabin is usually more rustic than a cottage with less modern creature comforts.

a giant sombrero chase you in his icecream truck with his poodle! Pssh ya! It's a real knee slapper, I know!

Yeah Paige, don't think I meant it as an insult.
I don't think my condition goes as far as to actually harm others while thinking they might be the predator in my dreams though.

Okay, back to the subject.
As some of you know, I just went to a cottage for a long weekend with my friends. I've got to say it was the best time I've had in a long
time. I'm really depressed that I am home and it wasn't longer.
Dez, as long as you are organized and smart with packing, it should take no time at all to unpack. We were all unpacked and ready to drink within an
hour. Don't bring too much stuff. I guess sometimes people freak out that they will forget something and end up bringing their entire house as
precaution.
It's always good to have people with you who are organized and clean, as well. Every morning one of us would wake up early and clean up the mess
from the previous nights havoc, then breakfast and coffee was made and when we were done whoever didn't cook did the dishes (same for dinner).
This was the routine the whole trip.
I can't see having any problems that you mentioned, Dez. 99% of the time we were chilling with no worries about (un)packing and cleaning.
Enough about that, let me tell you a little bit about it. We went up North for about a 3 hour drive, so not too far away. It was my Friends
girlfriends family cottage, so we didn't have to rent it, which was great. Not only that, but it was very private. We had to drive through a
path surrounded by thick forest for nearly 10 minutes to get to it. It was one of only 2 cottages on the whole lake, and we were there alone. So we
had a beautiful cottage on our own private lake. Wat else could you ask for? We had a row boat, a paddle coat and a canoe for getting around the
water. There was 2 fridges there, one for food and one completely filled with 200+ beers for the 6 of us. We all brought our guitars, played poker,
fished and just plain had an amazing time. Oh ya, we went to Wasaga beach all Saturday afternoon. And all this with your best friends.....good times.
I so hope we can do it again. It's been an annual thing for my buds for the last 3 years, but I haven't been able to join because I was
always living in Edmonton in the summer.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to say that we're leaving just after sunrise on Saturday morning..
Tonight is my last time here for the next week.
Yes, I can hear the clapping and cheering all the way over here...I know I won't be missed lol.
PIS and Ian will probably be taking care of the posts for the next week haha...so yay! You'll all still be entertained.
Ummm...I'll miss you all?
Well, not all...very few of you actually..but it's still something.
SideOjr,Reivax,Chris,Paigex0x,tremendous,Firestorm,armourguitarist and mr. dobalina.
My PM box is totally full...even though my outbox is near empty.
Umm..I'll try and delete some shit tonight, if not you could just drop me an e-mail and I'll check it once I'm back.
Take care everyone!

PIS and Ian rock!! Gangsta...
Anywho, have no worries about un-packing. I've never un-packed as far as I can remember. Leave your shiite neatly folded in your sack...(yes,
sack) and take stuff out when needed. That's the easiest way.
It's always fun to make competitions out of everything. We have a baseball tourney and go-gart championship up there. It's quite awesome.
Find a bridge or a cliff with deep waters, and jump off. That's awesome.
I usually stick to just sitting around untill noon, that way you have enough energy till go till 4 or 5.
It's all about just relaxing and having a good time.
Remember the two, simple rules.
1) There are no rules.
2) Follow rule number one.
one last show.
