This is a hard question.

You've got songs like Master of Puppets and Orion with awesome solos and lots of them.

Then there's Sanitarium, Fade to Black, One, Nothing Else Matters and all the other incredible ballads.

I can't disclude (is this a word?) songs like Battery or And Justice For All though, the catchy riffs of their quicker songs get stuck in your head for ages.

So, um, all of them? Except for the whole of St Anger... grrr.

I think the word you were looking for was "exclude". As far as Metallica goes, I would say the best song is Unforgiven II, not because it is my favourite, but because that's what got me to start liking Metallica. Without it I would be ignorant.

That is a damm hard question

I suppose "one" got me into Metallica

But then "hit the lights" was awesome

Then "breadfan" got me going, but its not their own song....

so, probally "hit the lights"

Yay Sin! I would go with Battery or hit the lights too. The spanish guitar's/acoustic's in the intro to battery are amazing

one last show.

Being a big Metallica fan, it's hard to chose just one song.

Some of my favorites are: Master of Puppets, Hit the Lights, Blackened, One, To Live is to Die, Fade to Black and The Call of Ktulu.

If a man has nothing worth dying for, he is not living. With this one special person, I have learned to live.

'Until It Sleeps.'

The studio version lacks punch, but the S&M version is sheer brilliance.
