-Forum Milestones-

*cue cheesy music...anddd..now.*

Hello my darlings.
As y'all probably know...it's gonna be almost a YEAR since this site has been up and running for all of us to enjoy.

Before I get into the point of this thread, I'd like for anyone who happens to stumble upon this thread to give props to Bart for all the hard work and dedication he has put onto this site.
You might not do it on this particular moment, but take the time to at least PM the man and thank him. Hes put up with a lot of stuff, and has taken time out of his own social life to work on random things to improve www.thelivid.com

[No, Im not sucking up to him, just pointing out his grand effort]

Now..onto my main point.
Most of us are now veterans on this site, there are still some newbies showing up every now and then.
What Id like for everyone to pitch in with is the following:

What have been your personal highlights on this site?
also
Has anything or anyone on this site helped shape your OFFline life in any way? *cue cheesy music once again if you want*
and
Note your funniest and saddest moments since you joined the e-community of this site.

Now...lets all party.
Dez

p.s: in one way or another, I <3 you all...

Way to go Bart. A+ work.

The highlights of this site is how tight it is. Not everyone always see's eye to eye, but that's what makes it more interesting. It's like a family, I suppose. It's not like any other message board I have seen.

I wouldn't exactly say that this site has helped my life, but I now know alot more great people that I would have never known before.

Can't really think of any overly sad or happy moments. There are alot of very witty people on here, though, that always get me to crack a smile...

I'm not too sure about anything.... oh wait this counts under all three I guess. (please don't think I'm a stalker) When I got here and actually started posting I remember this person Pure_Ibanez_Sound. I was like what the hell kind of name was that. Then time goes by and i realize hey...this guy may be normal. Then everyone started calling him pis. I was like....uhh i know that stands for his screen name P. I .S but why not call him by a normal name. Then his signature was drink pis! Then I pondered..."does he mean drink PISS or drink himself?" I still wonder if I missed the joke or if I just don't get it.

Sorry that was a lot of rambling about a person I dont think I've ever talked to.....this seems odd. Hahaha....oh well.

I could thank Bart a million times. If it wasn't for him i would not have met all the great people I have, and I wouldn't have had anything to do in media all year

hmm, my highlight(s) of the site have been the pms. At first i seemed so out of place, because everyone already seemed to have their place on the boards, and I felt like a fool everytime i posted. But then this LL pmed me, saying hi and, well...thats about it. over time i recieved pms from alot of people, and I had alot of great talkes. so basically...was there a point to this???

o ya, thanks for PMs!!!

well the highlight for sure would have to be meeting all of you cool people, like Dez, Jorge, PIS, Reivax, Paige and everyone else...

um well, some of you helped my offline life by making me feel happy and loved at sad times.

funniest moment:

quotation:
Ian: Maybe we can ride trails at the same time and pretend that were riding together.

That was golden.

I said it, but when PIS said it was "golden", i couldnt stop laughing for a few minutes straight.

and the saddest moment was when i thought Dez was actaully gunna leave. this place would suck w/o her.

favorite threads:
the Band Name Game thread, in the begining it was good.
the What would you buy Forum members for Christmas? thread,
the Try to stump the picture master thread,
the Forum Awards thread,
Both the Guitar and Bikes threads,
the Life thread
the Never ending What are you ____ thread,
the say something nice thread, and the what song reminds you thread,
and finally the say what you want thread, im pretty sure everyone likes that one.

complaints: nothing really, except that some people who come on are really annoying... Hoobafingbus, Primus, and a few others.

Some things take more than a lifetime.

The things that I will probably most remember will be the trail riding story that Ian posted and Chris' refrected mole. Both were halarious!

I talk to DeZy once a week or so, but besides that no one really.

The funniest was probably everyone's attack on hoobafingbus or Primus and my attack on Dobs. haha!

My favorite threads were probably all of my threads. Cause I OWN YOU ALL! Ha!

My point system idea was rejected my Bart's laziness, that really sucked. I would change all the sad times and fill them in with free biatches as well... even for the ladies.

Here's another two:

What would you do to improve this site?

A prediction on the second person to reach 3000 posts.

*About the 'Drink PIS' thing*

Well, it's really Drink PISS.. but it works fine just with drink PIS and that's my name so yay! Now it's Drink Pis, frequently!

Basically saying, love me,always. Right?

Way ahead of you haha.
You know you're loved by everyone...your 'mysterious' ways just keep us all hooked.
-cough- if.you.dont.show.up.may.1st.i.will.never.PM.you.again.kthx.-cough-
Now, to stay on-topic:
I have a STRONG prediction that lilrockerchick will reach 3000 posts BEFORE me.
Yes, I said "before".

All I'd suggest to improve the site is...
nothing.
I kinda like it..
Well, maybe having some Livid tracks playing on the background while browsing through the forums
I've seen it done on some sites, mind you they're for big huge artists..but it could be done, I think.
However, Bart already goes through enough trouble.

Me.
and...what I've learnt is that "trying is the first step to failure" haha..not really, just wanted to quote the simpsons.
I've learnt that not every person you talk to on the net is an asswipe, some people are actually kind and down to earth...and then you meet them, and they're the exact way, and it's a very cool thing indeed.

...When you meet someone who is one way online and another offline...oh lord.
Now THERE is the problem, but that hasn't happened..not yet at least.

Shush,Bart.
I'm the same person online than offline...

I can be quite like this ---->
The day that you saw me was a week after having been released from the hospital, and I could barely walk..
Not much room to bounce around, was there?

Personality wise, I'm pretty much the same person..I can be friendly, though most of the time I just choose to be mean...haha.

What I was really going at, and this has happened to me at MMTO numerous times, is that you'll be talking to someone online, and they're SOOO outgoing and funny and social and whatever, and then you actually meet them at an event or whatever, and they're losers...seriously. They just sit there, and they're all quiet, can't even look at you in the eye or hold any type of conversation..

With me, what you see here is most likely what you'll get.
You think I type a lot....I talk a lot as well. Which, I know is probably a bad thing, haha.

I dunno wat to say really?

My favourite all time post has to be the say something nice about... etc etc etc
that was fun, like a snap cup

by the way, snaps for Bart!

Without the boards, i wouldn;t have met Dez... and then there would be no way to add sexual references in like every single reply we make... sexual references are fun.
