STOMP
anyone heard of it?
its a perfoming arts group that does shows of precussion using everyday items such as brooms, trash cans, matchboxes, kitchen sinks, basket balls, and
lots of other crazy stuff.
and the whole thing is coreographed, so it's like a modern dance performance but they are all making music while thay do it...
i went to see one of their shows tonight and i was blown away. they were able to achive the sound of strings (like a down tuned violin) with pvc pipes
of different lengths. it was totally mind-blowing. im not sure if they have made it to Canada yet, but if they ever end up there be sure to check them
out.

Ya, they have been around for as long as I can remember. If I would see any sort of theatre type show, that would be the one.
Maybe I'll check it out one day.

My music teacher let us watch a video of the "STOMP" people performing. It was really neat.
The night's as hot as hell. It's a lousy room in a lousy part of a lousy town - I'm staring at a goddess. She's telling me she
wants me. I'm not going to waste one more minute wondering how I've gotten this lucky. She smells like angels ought to smell, the perfect
woman... the Goddess. Goldie. She says her name is Goldie.

How do you communicate those emotions that are so intense that no physical expression or series of words can even scratch the surface?

There was an Aussie film based around the concept called Bootmen. It had that dude in it from Coyote Ugly, he's one hell of a tap dancer. Cool
concept though, one of the few contemporary dance forms I actually enjoy.
