Sounds like good exposure.

What song do you think would be a good one to submit, if they were to apply?

If "test run" is recorded, I'd suggest that. Other than that, it's hard to choose. "shaded" possibly.

Sweet link, I think the band should think about this- they've got nothing to loose.

Submission Deadlines:
May 20 for all shows before June 12
June 1 for all shows after June 12

Question is, would they have the new material recorded by then ?

Out of the older material I would choose "release" I reckon Finger11 would dig that.

I think Adam knows Rich the drummer from Finger 11...I could be wrong, but I think thats what it is. And I think that Rich from Finger 11 knows who The Livid are...I think, who knows.
If they do open for them remind them all to come to Vancouver !

Hmm, i think finger 11 is a pretty sweet band, although I do prefer the livids music over theirs. I think livid have a really good chance for this!! I wish them the best of luck

Finger eleven, to me and most of the people I know, have passed their prime. They were one of my favourite bands when I was a teenager. I saw them a bunch of times. I just don't like their new album, at all. I'm very glad for them that it has become as popular as it has, but it's just not for me. My friend said to me the other day that The Livid have replaced Finger Eleven for him, and I'll have to agree.

The thing finger did on their last album, is something completely different from their previous albums. I guess that's why there are a few "holdouts" like you and your friend Chris. Whether or not you like the music, I think it's impossible to deny that their sound is technically much evolved. I know I am not the only one who thinks that this more recent album is also their best yet musically too, and I hope we can all agree when the next one comes out that they haven't passed their prime, and are going to be around for a long time still.

I really have no right to bash Finger Eleven, so if it sounds like I did, I apologize. I simply mean, to me, they have reached and passed their climax. I hope I am wrong and further albums rock my socks off, but I can't deny that I don't enjoy the self-titled albums songs. Not really at any point did anything truly stand out and make me go "ya!" like the previous albums have done for me.

I am all for bands evolving, and I'm glad that the majority of people disagree with me, because I still like them and I think they deserve the recognition they are getting. I agree, technically the album is superior and they clearly are evolving and trying new things. I'm just going to anticipate the next album and see what happens.

No, you weren't bashing them. Just stating your opinion, which is all good. That's what the forums are for.

Finger Eleven's self-titled disc has been their best yet. Best songwriting, most unique production and some of the tightest playing they've shown yet. Not to mention some of the most original ideas yet.

Reivax, they've pass their prime for you. At the moment, they're in the prime of their career as a band and this may only be the start.

Ya, I know. That's what I've been trying to say, but it doesn't seem to getting across very well.

Hmm I actually like F11.. The energy and fast-paced music is much similar to The Livid. Damn, I wish I had that much energy.
