i bet... thanks again dude. i just got a NIIIICE new amp yesterday. its small because i wanted to use it to travel around but its a Marshall, i cant
remember the size... i think its a 12 inch. idk how many centemeters that is so dont ask hahaha. and its 40 watts. but its SO nice, its amazing. it
was on sale for $70 and its worth every penny. so now i get to use it to some nice ass tunes like Clear Me and Step Up

well the very first part when he does the quick rundown, and i cant seem to get the rhythem down around the part when it goes 9/10/9 or later on when
the section starts with 7 6 7 (9 next string down) 6-7. i cant get those rythems down. any suggestions on pausing or rushing or something?

i'd just listen to the song over and over until it's engraved in your memory.
i cant seem to get the part after the first bend. it throws the whole thing off every time.

try slowing the whole thing down. at the top of the file, click the first notes (22) and then click the button to the right of [R] - the note with an
= next to it. that gets rid of the metronome mark. then click it again to make a new one. set quarter note = 40 to half the speed.
then play the solo part. the first four notes last one 8th note's worth together, the next three last the exact same amount of time.
that's probably the part which isn't making sense. the next three too. the next note (7th fret) is an acciaccatura, which is called a
grace note. it's really really short. so short that it doesn't count and the lengths of the other notes ignore it.
quotation:or later on when the section starts with 7 6 7 (9 next string down) 6-7. i cant get those

again, this bit is triplets. that's three notes in the time which two should last.
try going to the top of the file again, clicking the first notes and clicking the [3/4] button (just right of the three flats). change metronome
pulses to 8. you have to change the time signature to 8/8 at the same time for some reason. so change beats/measure to 8 and value of beat to 8 too.
put 2 in the first box of "beam notes in groups of" to keep it looking the same.
that'll make the metronome click every 8th note rather than every quarter note. that should make it easier to understand how those triplets are
played right next to the 32nd notes.
you didn't mention the 2nd bar of the solo - the trip up the 5th and 6th strings. the start of that bar has exactly the same rhythm as the
fourth bar, which you did mention.

can't see what you mean here. the end of the 2nd bar - full bend on the 14th fret, 14th fret unbent then pick it again and slide down? those
three notes should all last the same amount of time - an 8th note each. maybe slowing it down and changing the metronome to tick 8 times a bar would
be helpful for you too.

sorry, bart that's not what i meant. i meant the part where he goes:
D --------12-------------14--------16-16/17\16-14--
A --9/10-----10/12--------12/14----------------------
that's whats throwing me off.

I have a tab for the tide that is about 60-70% complete. The chorus needs to be figured out and it needs some touch ups.
We switched hard drives on this computer, so all of my stuff isn't currently on here. I'm pretty sure I have it on a disc somewhere.
I'm willing to bet Bart could figure out the rest in a matter of 15 minutes. The chorus is easy, but I just don't have any drive to finish
the tab up right now.
If you, Bart, want to finish it and you don't have it anymore, let me know and I'll find it and send it to you.
