Once you've heard one song you've heard them all.
"faint" is probally their best tune
They kicked ass at reading festival, their live performance is almost perfect.

They're alright. I agree with Mark, all of their songs sound the same to me. I do like Faint though.
The night's as hot as hell. It's a lousy room in a lousy part of a lousy town - I'm staring at a goddess. She's telling me she
wants me. I'm not going to waste one more minute wondering how I've gotten this lucky. She smells like angels ought to smell, the perfect
woman... the Goddess. Goldie. She says her name is Goldie.

i was going to see them live with pod, story of the year, and hoobastank, but chester got sick, and they canceled it... and then they reschedualed it
for march 15th but im gunna be out of town. but i got a free shirt from the guy who does the lights where they were gunna be playing, it says
"Linkin Park Local Crew", so if i ever want to go to an LP show again i could pass as an intern and get in for free. it still sucks ass
though.

no, i fucking hate them. all their songs are identical - you can mix and match lyrics to your heart's content. if you've heard one,
you've heard 'em all. just ask "tremendous".
oh, and their drummer is poo :<

i've only heard a few songs, and then a bunch live which i don't remember that well. it's true that all the ones i've heard
use exactly the same chord patterns, but it seems to be a formula that works.

i just downloaded a bunch and i can now say that i like linkin park. i thought it was funny how in the first five songs i got (crawling, in the end,
faint, numb and somewhere i belong) you can interchange choruses - they have almost exactly the same chord patterns. you can sing the crawling chorus
over any of those songs!

It's true that the music is very formulaic, but you can't deny that it gets you singing along. They've got some really good hooks
that are completely radio friendly. That said, I think their 2nd album is just a watered down version of their first record. Hopefully when they
release something new they'll challenge themselves to evolve a bit more.

Aww, fuck it. I feel like making a couple posts, so I am gonna.
Awww..gross. I just lit my smoke backwards. Never light a cigarette in the dark.
Anyway. I have mixed feelings about this band. I used to love their music. I still enjoy listening to some of the older tracks like
"papercut". Guitar wise, it's about as simple as you can get. Write a simple, catchy riff and add a few power chords for rhythm.
That's about it. Check out the sing "with you" for some of the coolest use of harmoncs. And I hate to say it, but I really like Mike
Shinoda's voice. It's really relaxing. It does, however, get very old. Like everyone has already said, if you have heard one song, you
have heard them all.
I bought their latest CD with high expectations and I was pretty dissapointed. I guess I was looking for something new. I hope they try and evolve a
little next time around.

The show was good I guess. I'm sure it would have been much better had I been able to get to the floor instead of sitting 6 inches beneath the
ceiling.
All of the bands were good though. Well, I dunno so much about Story of the Year. I didn't pay any attention to them. I was hangin out w/
friends and buy tshirts and stuff. I know they covered a Metallica song...but I don't remember which one.
Hoobastank covered Madona...that was kinda cool.
Some guy managed to get passed the bouncers and get on stage then jumped like 10 feet into the crowed while POD was on stage. POD had all the cool
lazer beam lights...once those came on I didn't pay much attention to anything else.
Then LP came on...they didn't as many cool lazer lights as POD did. They made some noise for like an hour and a half and then we all went home.

cool.
i have seen some pretty insane live performances by Story of the Year, guys jumping over eachother, and sliding accros the stage on their backs,
lighting the drum set on fire all while playing quite tricky songs, cool shit like that... they have some in their music video for "until the
day i die". it looked really awesome.
