SUMMER Camp GAME IDEAS
HI guys, Im working over at a summer camp this summer, and well Im trying to come up with some new games to introduce the kids two. I guess
specications are for a group of 8-10 kids, we have like a few balls, maybe a few skipping ropes.. were rather pretty limited with equipement or

ok these is more for yonger kids
1) Duck duck goose (lots of kids love it)
2) I cant remember the name but all kids form a circle and one child closes their eyes while within the circle someone hides the ball in this case
behind their back

lines.

This is a serious suggestion. Play Red Rover. If you don't know what it is I can outline it for you.

Red roooooooover, Red rooooooover....we call _____ overrrrrrr...
Is that what we're talking about here?
Should the answer be "Yes"...do it! It's a kickass game and an excuse to be rough and violent...haha.
I personally think "Knights, Horses & Cavaliers" is a horrid excuse for a game. It's too....sexual.
And, they made us play it at my highschool..and it's all girls...and... <---that sums it up pretty well.
you won't let me down...

Wow awesome dude. I'm totally working at a summer camp this year too!!!!! Alrighty well, I'll give my best shot.
1) Torpedo. A game myself and a few other counsellors made up. Line up the kids evenly directly across from each other. About 25-40 feet. Yell
'Go'. Now as they run, throw balls at them. It's almost like dodgeball.
Honest to god, they love this game! Unless of course, you peg them in the face. So be prepared to deal with some crying.
I'll post more when i'm not hung over. Or I'll send yah a manual. W/e
one last show.

Well, we so made it up.. So hah!
Anywho.. There is always quiet circle games that you can play with the kids, that require no material what so ever. I.E- Murder wink, Mafia,
Who's The Leader? and many others.
Oh, try and make stuff age appropriate as well, just to make it more fun for certain ages. For instance, none of grade 1's wanted to play What
time is it Mr. Wolf, so I changed the name to Finding Nemo and yelled 'SHART BAIT' when ever.
Little things like that are really easy to do and will amuse most kids. Don't let them last for too long though. What camp are you working at?

play the 'get little kids addicted to smoking' game.
or the 'vodka shots and running in circles' game.
Amid the chaos of that day, when all I could hear was the thunder of gunshots, and all I could smell was the violence in the air, I look back and am
amazed that my thoughts were so clear and true, that three words went through my mind endlessly, repeating themselves like a broken record:
you're so cool, you're so cool, you're so cool. And sometimes Clarence asks me what I would have done if he had died, if that bullet
had been two inches more to the left. To this, I always smile, as if I'm not going to satisfy him with a response. But I always do. I tell him
of how I would want to die, but that the anguish and the want of death would fade like the stars at dawn, and that things would be much as they are
now. Perhaps. Except maybe I wouldn't have named our son Elvis.

How do you communicate those emotions that are so intense that no physical expression or series of words can even scratch the surface?
